October 31st

Today I printed out some pictures for a biome project I have in biology. I then came back to class and worked on a poster for the biomedical drive. Biomed is hosting a diaper and wet wipe drive. I added many texts with some effects like the wave effect and added some photos and moved them around to look better. I have the poster I made posted below. Hope you enjoy! Screen Shot 2017-10-31 at 9.34.50 AM

Today we got to work on a t-shirt design. It had to have the words “life is good” on the design. I visited a website that had lots of designs and found one I liked. I made a fishing one, using the text tools, and rotating and flipping the two fishing poles.  I also finished up my bull poster that I was working on last Friday. The pictures of my work are posted below!

October 27th

Today was a project day. I am working a bull poster to sell leases and semen on my club calf bulls. I have not finished it yet but will on the next day! I used they type tool to put any word on the paper and added some photos of my bulls. I also checked out the drone for the weekend! so hopefully I get to have some videos Monday or Tuesday! I will post my bull pictures and videos as soon as they are completed!

I attended career center this morning. I took a 34 question math test on work keys and felt like I did pretty well. After that I came back to class. I worked in my Lynda.com lessons. I am finished with chapter 7 and am 1/2 way done with chapter 8! Hopefully I can try and finish my course tomorrow! In chapter 7 I learned how to merge, merge 360 degrees and sharpen multiple panoramic images and chapter 8 was all about how to capture a HDR photo from a drone.

October 24th

I worked in Lynda.com again today. I am moving through my drone videos faster than I had thought! I finished chapter 3, 4, 5, 6, and am 2 lessons into chapter 7 today! But most of the lessons I have been learning are not so much about the drone, but about how to take and edit the pictures in Lightroom and in photoshop. All lessons 3-7 have been using Lightroom so far, learning different ways to change the look of the photo and different techniques to brighten and/or contrast the image. There are only 9 chapters in the course so I am about done. The last 3 chapters have about 10 lessons a piece but I plan to finish them either tomorrow or Thursday!

October 23rd

Today was the first day back from fall break! So, I worked in Lynda.com. But first I emailed my weekly goals with all my chapters and lessons. I then completed chapter 2 and 3/4 of chapter 3. I am learning a lot about drones and am very excited to get ours out and try it! I learned features like how to rotate the camera and and how to start and fly the drone and then how to take pictures and videos. I learned that they said landing is the hardest part of flying the drone.

October 18th

Today was a project day.  Before I started on my project we had career center, and we took a 35 question document test. After that, I had a college kid ask me if I could make him a goat logo the other day to be put on jackets, hats, etc. so, I made him this. I used many tools such as the text and pen tools creating different features on the goat, like putting a text that says their family farm name and then I cleaned up the edges and made them with less pixels. I changed the font to make it more of a professional type. I also had to fill the goat with white because he was a blue when I got the outline. I also made some other copies with the words in different places. Now its fall break so see ya Monday!Screen Shot 2017-10-23 at 9.19.09 AM Riffel Family Show Goats

October 17th

Today I worked in Lynda.com. I didn’t get as much done on my new course Learning Aerial Photography with drones, because the exercise files took so long to download. But, I did get through the introductions and chapter 1 and part of chapter 2. I have learned about the long checklist you must have before going and flying a drone and about how taking off and landing are the two hardest parts about flying. I am starting to learn the essentials of flying in chapter 2 and then I will learn how to shoot raw photos in chapter 3!

October 16th

Today I finished my Lynda.com course Photoshop Restoration: Replacing a background. I took and straightened and cropped the image first. Then, I started filling the background with color and gradients. After that, I took and rendered some trees into the back ground, burned some shadows, blurred parts of the image, and set some midtones. I am now starting a new course called Learning Aerial Photography with Drones, so I can learn more about them so I can use the one I have here in class.
